One purpose has guided this church for more than a century, and it still shapes everything we do.
OUR MISSION
For the glory of God alone and by his grace alone, McIlwain equips believers to worship God by proclaiming Christ from the Word and in the World.
OUR VISION
Through the power of the Gospel, we seek to change hearts and minds in East Hill, Pensacola, and beyond.
HOW WE PURSUE IT
Our Vision in Action
McIlwain accomplishes its vision, prayerfully, in five ways.
1
Discipling
We disciple individuals and families toward a maturing faith through the faithful teaching of God’s Word.
2
Leading
We lead the covenant community in biblically-directed corporate worship that is Christ-centered and confessional.
3
Equipping
We equip the covenant community for Christ-like service, prayer, and leadership.
4
Shepherding
We shepherd the covenant community with pastoral care and gospel encouragement.
5
Engaging
We engage the culture of East Hill, Pensacola, and the world in genuine, respectful, and loving gospel power.
“Sir, we would see Jesus.”
The words on our pulpit still name the whole of our vision. Everything above is simply what it looks like to answer that request, together, week by week.
